FAQ (for the love of God, please read this)Before you send us a message, please read this FAQ page. Unfortunately, due to the amount of e-mail we receive on a daily basis, any e-mail questions we receive that are covered in this section may not get a response. Are there Candy Conventions?Yes. Annually, there are several conventions all over the world. I've been lucky enough to visit a few of them, the best one being the National Candy Expo in Chicago. How can I get into the National Candy Expo?To go to the National Candy Expo, you either have to sell or make candy. You also have to be a part of the National Confectioners' Association. Do you sell..?We don't sell candy individually, although the Candy of the Month club features all kinds of treats. Why do you hate Big Turk? It's just gross. Have you ever reviewed Jelly Bellies? The Candy Critic has never done a Jelly Belly review exactly, only because there are so many flavours available. He did, however, write an article about his experiences eating a vomit-flavoured Jelly Belly for the first time. You can read it here. What do you sell?We sell all kinds of stuff. Check out the store and buy something already! Help keep this site alive. Where are you located?Presently we are in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, although the Candy Critic did live in Toronto for most of his life. He likes to travel and whenever he goes somewhere he always looks out for cool candy. Can I get a job?Right now we're not looking for anybody. If that changes, we'll post it on the main page and let everybody know. Can I write for you?Sure. Just fill out a form with an idea for an article, and we can put something together. The only thing is, we do not allow people to write reviews. We do this only because we want consistency in our reviews. Also, Chris is a bit of a piggy. We also can't afford to pay for articles at this time. You'll have to do it for the love of candy. Why are some of your packages so old? We've been doing this site for about 6 years now, and candy companies like to change their packages regularly. Rather than update our packages every time they change, we figure you'll be able to find them anyway. However, if you are from a candy company and would like us to update your packaging, please send us your product with the new package and we'll be happy to eat it.... And we'll update the picture too. I make candy; can I send some to you?You bet you can. Our policy is simple, if you send us some samples we'll review it. However, if you send us hundreds of different treats we may only limit our reviews to only a few of the things you send. We ask you to contact us via e-mail here. We are also interested in hearing from new and upcoming candy companies, in a continuing effort to make candy fun for everybody. |
