Crunky "Melon?"

I'm told that in Asia melons are considered to be a great gift, and a special treat for all to enjoy. So in that vein the folks at Lotte have decided that they would take one of their more popular bars and smash it together with this most honoured of gifts. The idea is very sound. The problem I have with this bar is that it's a melon flavoured chocolate bar. Sure the theory is great but in reality melon flavoured chocolate is really not a good idea at all.

First of all I'm not a big fan of melon, except maybe watermelon. I do eat melon when it is presented to me but I'll rarely if ever buy one. The only thing that really gives melon it's ok statues is how absolutely refreshing it is. On a hot summer day a big gulp of juice from a bite of melon can do wonders. This bar does the one thing you shouldn't do to a bite of melon; it takes away all forms of refreshment. Worse still it kind of makes me a little thirsty.

So for creativity (at least here in North America) it's pretty cool to eat a melon flavoured chocolate bar. But really it's a pretty disgusting thing to eat.
