Frozen Skittles

This had to be one of the most interesting experiences I've had doing the article. I expected to have really hard 'Skittles' and that's it, but what I got was something strange. When I first put these in my mouth, they made the strangest sound when they hit each other, it's hard to explain but it was strange. They were harder than usual but instead of chipping a tooth when I bit into them, they shattered into a million pieces. Eventually as they warmed-up in my mouth, the bits would start to stick together again like the classic 'Skittles' I remember. The flavour didn't change at all, so I guess the freezer isn't a miracle machine.
