Skittles in Jell-O

Hey kids today is not about eating, today is all about learning. What are we going to learn about? Well today we learn that 'Skittles' and 'Jell-O' don't mix. I say this not because the flavours didn't go well together or because the texture was a little weird. I say this because the 'Skittles' disintegrated in the 'Jell-O'. I made the 'Jell-O' according to the directions and when it had settled slightly, I stuck some 'Skittles' in it. I figured I would have a bunch of 'Skittles' floating in my 'Jell-O', but what I got was a strange liquid on the top and a bunch of pockets of air about the size of a 'Skittle'. I did try to eat it and you could kind of taste a 'Skittle' particularly where they once were. So this had to be one of the stranger experiences and maybe I'll check into why this happened.
