The challenge is simple, how can a fine chocolate company take
great chocolate and make it cheesy and a little harder to get
at. The answer is the Lindt Ghosts. My first problem with these
is the chocolate on a stick factor. I just don't get it. Why in
the world would someone need chocolate on a stick? Are you supposed
to eat it like a lollypop? Maybe it's for people that can't finish
a whole stick at a time so they have to eat some and save the
rest for later. For me though chocolate on a stick is just an
inconvenient way to eat chocolate.
My other problem with these is the fact that I've seen a very
similar treat that comes out around Easter but instead of ghosts
they are little chocolate carrots. That makes more sense than
these upside-down ghosts. I'm not sure which came first but I'm
pretty confident that the carrot is a better idea.
After saying all this I have to complete this review with the
simple fact that the chocolate wasn't too bad. Lindt chocolate
is good stuff and these are no exception, so as a treat all I
can say is yummy. I'm not a huge fan of white chocolate, which
can be found in the centre of these, but since it's pretty good
quality stuff I don't mind it.
Basically it tastes great, but the whole set up is pretty silly.
