Coconut M&M's
Mars
At first I thought the idea of coconut M&Ms as being
a little silly. Actually I’ve been wondering when they might hit
the wall and have no more M&M ideas. Then it hit me, coco “nut”.
M&M peanuts are ok, almonds are ok (yes I know that almonds aren’t
really nuts), so why not a coco “nut”. I guess all that’s
left to do is actually eat one.
I’ve been tricked! I’ve been tricked and worst
of all I don’t really mind it. At first I thought I was going to
get a mouth full of coconut covered in a thin layer of chocolate then
covered in a candy shell. What I got was a plain M&M with coconut
flavouring. And upon further inspection of the package I realise that
it says “artificial flavour” right below the word coconut.
See normally I’m not a big fan of coconut treats,
but these aren’t that bad. They are far from being my favourite
M&Ms ever but I may actually finish the whole bag. I think it has
something to do with the fact that the coconut really doesn’t hit
until the after taste. So it could be that half an hour after eating this
bag of coconut M&Ms I may have a different opinion while trying to
rinse the taste of coconut out of my mouth.
