I don't know if I've ever mentioned this in the past but for
the most part I'm not a big fan of Pringles chips. I don't like
the way they taste or the texture. Sure a few of the flavoured
ones cover up the parts I don't like pretty well but by and by
I don't like them. That's why I was surprised when I saw these
Pringles select things, because it really seemed like they where
trying for a whole new direction with their chips.
I figured if I'm going to try one of these "select"
type Pringles out I'd go for the strangest of them all. Now the
bag (sorry it's a bad photo) shows what should be pretty big chips
on it and when I opened them up I saw that they're really only
about an inch across at their widest point. They're also a little
thicker, relatively, then I expected.
My first bite was a little unnerving, I wasn't sure what to expect.
Not that I've never had sweet potato fries or chips before and
not that I haven't had sweet potatoes with cinnamon, I just wasn't
sure how it would be all together. I'm happy to report that it
pretty much works perfectly. They also didn't add too much or
any sugar to them either so they're not super sweet. The cinnamon
is definitely the strong flavour but the sweet potato works well
with it. I'm also a big fan of cinnamon so I'm not complaining.
