Reese's Dark Peanut Butter Cups

The idea of these cups is really sound in my mind. In fact I've been to a few fancy chocolate shops where they have peanut butter cups in many different styles with many different chocolates. I've tried dark cups before and for the most part it's an interesting change. These however really didn't cut the mustard for me at all.

I think the quality of the chocolate had to be the first problem for me. With a flavour as strong as peanut butter you really need to have a strong dark chocolate. If it's just a slightly stronger milk chocolate pretending to be dark chocolate it's not going to work at all. It ends up just tasting like it's milk chocolate brothers.

So I guess my problem is not that I don't like these, I mean they taste pretty much like regular Reese cups. My problem is the fact that they don't taste different, or anything like dark chocolate at all. So this is a hard one for me. I guess I'd suggest them to anybody who likes Reese cups, but you'll be disappointed because they're barely different at all.
