I'm sure you're probably wondering why in the world Candy Critic would review a baked potato. Well first of all sometimes I role a little bit a-kilter and you'll just have to live with that. Secondly this isn't a baked potato at all, although it does contain potato. It would appear that I don't really know as much about candy as I thought, it would appear that you can in fact make fudge with potatoes.

My first fear is probably the same thought you have right now, who in the world would want potato flavoured fudge. Not that I wouldn't try it but I wasn't excited at that prospect either. The good news is this particular fudge is in fact fudge flavoured, chocolate to be precise. The funny potato look is just a fun little gimmick. I was particularly amused by the toppings (the onions are in fact little bits of chopped up green liquorice rope).

The fudge itself apparently contains less sugar (instead you get potato). Fortunately you couldn't really taste any difference at all. The texture was fudgy too, nothing too strange to worry about. So not only can I brag about eating fudge made from potatoes but I also don't have to suffer with eating potato flavoured fudge.
