I say it's about time! You can quote me on this because
it's really big news but for the first time ever I can say that I've eaten
an American chocolate treat and I have to say I'm satisfied with the results.
The quality is nice, the texture is nice, the taste is nice, it's a nice
square of chocolate. I still don't know why in North America so many companies
insist on not making their regular bars with better chocolate but this
is a step in the right direction.
The idea behind this particular square of fun is that
it is in fact made with the whole cocoa bean. I'm not sure what they normally
take out but after biting into this I'm disappointed that anything might
be removed. It would appear that often candy companies take out the bits
of the cocoa bean that hold in the smooth nice flavour. Apparently as
well eating the whole bean is better for you as well, but if you've read
any other part of this site you'll realize that my health is really the
last thing I worry about.
Congrats Hershey, it's a step in the right direction.
